Job Description

Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Design Manager ($5000, Open for Korean Expats, ID17832):
Creative Leadership
  • Define the design direction for Activewear and Intimates, ensuring alignment with brand identity, seasonal narratives, and consumer insights.
  • Drive innovation in materials, silhouettes, trims, construction, and sustainable design practices.
  • Analyze global trends, consumer behavior, and competitive market dynamics to keep collections fresh and relevant.
Team Management
  • Inspire, mentor, and oversee a team of designers across both categories.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance design culture focused on creativity, accountability, and continuous development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and growth plans for individual team members.
Strategic Execution
  • Transform seasonal strategies into cohesive and innovative product assortments.
  • Manage the design calendar, ensuring timely execution with excellence and efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Development and Sourcing teams to align on cost, feasibility, and innovation.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with the Business Team, Product Development, and Customers to ensure a balance between fashion and function across various price points and customer segments.
  • Present seasonal concepts and collections to leadership and stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
  • Advocate for design excellence and consumer-driven solutions in cross-functional forums.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of design experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative, trend-leading collections in activewear, intimates, or performance-driven categories.
  • Strong expertise in fabric innovation, technical construction, body fit, and product functionality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D design tools (e.g., CLO), and trend forecasting platforms.
