- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Vietnamese curriculum, ensuring alignment with international standards.
- Lead and support the teaching team to maintain high-quality instruction and student outcomes.
- Track and monitor students’ academic progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted support.
- Oversee examinations, assessments, and reporting for the Vietnamese Department.
- Stay updated on the latest educational trends and integrate best practices into the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere within the department.
- Organize and lead regular departmental meetings to ensure effective communication and planning.
- Provide professional development opportunities and mentorship for teachers in the department.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Manage departmental policies, handbooks, and documentation, ensuring regular updates.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for the Vietnamese Department.
- Coordinate with the school's leadership team to develop long-term academic strategies.
- Represent the department in school-wide meetings and contribute to institutional planning.
- Oversee departmental contributions to school publications, social media, and website content.
- Inspire students to develop a deep appreciation for the Vietnamese language and culture.
- Encourage student participation in academic competitions and cultural events.
- Organize field trips, guest speaker sessions, and other learning experiences to enhance the curriculum.
Requirement
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Vietnamese Language, Education, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Strong academic record and experience with IBDP (SL & HL) Vietnamese teaching is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in tracking student progress and data analysis.
- Prior experience in department leadership or curriculum development is an advantage.
