Job Description
We're hiring a M.I.C.E Sales Manager:
1. Event Planning & Execution
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of conferences, conventions, and group events.
- Liaise with clients to plan event details, including room setups, staging, lighting, audiovisual needs, traffic flow, menus, décor, and VIP services.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings to assess requirements and improvements.
- Meet with event planners daily to review ongoing events, consumption, billing, and any adjustments.
2. Client Relations & Revenue Maximization
- Provide guests with relevant information about hotel services, loyalty programs, and local attractions to enhance their experience.
- Upsell products and services, including food and beverage options, while optimizing function space utilization.
- Negotiate pricing and service packages within the hotel’s booking guidelines.
- Conduct banquet and catering facility tours and entertain clients to enhance event experiences.
- Oversee daily departmental operations, assign tasks, and set performance goals for team members.
- Mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to improve team performance and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure staff receives proper training on service standards, compliance, and hotel policies.
- Recommend staffing decisions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and salary adjustments.
- Assist in preparing the annual departmental budget and financial plans.
- Monitor expenses and revenue, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Prepare forecasts, productivity reports, and financial analyses to support decision-making.
- Ensure all meetings and events align with contractual agreements and client expectations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take action based on feedback and survey results.
- Promote sustainability by advising clients on eco-friendly meeting options and waste reduction strategies.
- Coordinate safety and security measures to ensure smooth event execution.
- Represent the hotel brand within the local community to enhance awareness and reputation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless event coordination.
- Act as the Manager on Duty when required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of sales experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
- Excellent English proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Strong customer relationship management, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera Sales.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Assertive, professional, and positive mindset with a strong team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive and adaptable attitude in a fast-paced environment.
