Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested manufacturing company, now looking for an Production Manager (Garment, ID-18178):
Operational Management
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations across production and support functions to meet targets in output, quality, and delivery.
- Ensure smooth coordination of utility services and follow up on shipments through to reconciliation.
- Work closely with departments such as Planning, Quality, HR, and Logistics to ensure seamless execution of operational activities.
- Foster cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain effective communication channels via reports, emails, and meetings to ensure timely and accurate decision-making.
- Provide regular updates to management and ensure information flow across teams.
- Identify operational issues, defects, and inefficiencies; apply root cause analysis and lean tools to resolve and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain production floor standards, visual controls, and workplace organization (5S).
- Prepare annual departmental budgets, headcount plans, and organizational structure.
- Monitor financial performance and control operational expenses (e.g., machine rental, overtime, utilities) to stay within budget.
- Promote and implement new technologies and systems (e.g., ResQ, AX, QMS) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure team-wide awareness and training on updated processes and standards.
- Manage subcontracting activities including sewing, washing, embroidery, and other outsourced services.
- Monitor quality and timelines of outsourced deliverables.
- Lead and develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with HR to address grievances, improve incentives, and boost employee engagement, reducing absenteeism and turnover.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, health and safety regulations, and buyer compliance requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and ethical practices throughout the factory.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of labor laws, ISO standards, and compliance frameworks.
