Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Safety Specialist (Open for freshers, $900, ID21388)
- Prepare and maintain all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) documentation, procedures, and records as required by the client and project specifications.
- Conduct HSE induction training for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors before project commencement to enhance safety awareness, health practices, and emergency response capabilities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company HSE policies, client requirements, legal regulations, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures. Provide guidance and supervision to subcontractors on safe working practices.
- Review and advise on work plans, method statements, and safety procedures before the start of any work activities.
- Develop, review, monitor, and maintain Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and other risk control documentation.
- Supervise and control high-risk activities on site, including electrical work, working at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, fire prevention and protection, hazardous substances handling, pressure vessels, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) implementation. Provide technical advice and recommendations to prevent workplace accidents.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, incident, inspection, and violation reports, as required by management and clients.
- Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported promptly, thoroughly investigated, and analyzed to determine root causes. Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate potential hazards.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, campaigns, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement programs to promote a strong safety culture.
Requirement
- Male. Under 45 years old
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety, Environment, or other related disciplines
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Open for freshers majoring in Occupational Safety
- Candidates with at least 2 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor / HSE Officer will be given preference.
- Willing to work primarily at project sites and travel as required. Office attendance is only required for administrative procedures, documentation, or other necessary tasks.
