Dream Job Alert! Become a Senior Metal Trader ($2500, ID17888) at a foreign-invested company:
- Develop and manage end-to-end physical trading activities in the non-ferrous metals market, with a primary focus on copper and/or aluminum.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including producers, smelters, warehouses, logistics providers, and end-users, both locally and globally.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify trading opportunities, price trends, and supply-demand dynamics.
- Negotiate purchase and sales contracts with a focus on optimal pricing, risk mitigation (including hedging and FX exposure), payment terms, and contract fulfillment.
- Monitor LME/SHFE price trends, inventory movements, and macroeconomic indicators to inform trading strategies and decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, and risk management) to ensure efficient trade execution, optimize margin, and manage working capital and credit exposure.
- Prepare regular trading performance reports, forecasts, and profit & loss (P&L) statements for internal review and strategic planning.
- Support business development initiatives by exploring new markets and introducing new product lines such as recycled metals or metal alloys.
Requirement
- Male/Female.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- 7 years of experience in a similar position in the trading of non-ferrous metals, especially copper and/or aluminum.
- Deep understanding of the non-ferrous metals market in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with the ability to analyze the market, monitor price movements, and assess trends and competitors.
- Experienced in handling international commercial contract negotiations
- Proficiency in English
