Job Description
- Establish, review, and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS/PQR) while directing technical operations to ensure alignment with international project quality requirements.
- Review and interpret intricate technical design drawings to establish optimal joint design and welding configurations.
- Maintain rigorous oversight over workshop welding operations, proactively identifying and resolving defects, distortion, or quality deviations.
- Ensure strict adherence to the welding quality management system across heavy fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Requirement
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture/Shipbuilding, or a related engineering domain.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Welding Engineer or Quality Inspector within the heavy industrial manufacturing sector.
- Technical Competencies: Strong proficiency in interpreting complex structural welding blueprints and executing weld quality control protocols.
- Standard Familiarity: Solid knowledge and practical application of international codes such as AWS D1.1, ASME IX, or ISO 15614.
- Professional Certification: Active certification in CSWIP 3.1/3.2, CWI, or equivalent internationally recognized inspection credentials is preferred.
- Good at English.
